1996 993 Windshield replacement

Vehicle Information: Model: Carrera; Year: 1996; Body Type: Coupe; Total Mileage: 75,000;

I recently had a small rust bubble on the bottom drivers corner of my cowl repaired. As part of the repair, the body shop (using their glass specialist) removed the windshield glass and then replaced using the same glass but a new seal. They have since had four attempts at getting the seal to fit properly. It appears too short, for lack of a better description, on the bottom and as a result is tucking in under the cowl. I have been told by another glass shop that was recommended to me for work on 911s that the only way for it to be properly repaired is the install a new windshield along with the Porsche install kit. Can this be true that I cannot reuse my otherwise perfectly good windshield?
