1997 993 C4 Cab left rear bounce

Suspension and Steering

Vehicle Information: Model: 993 C4 Cabriolet; Year: 1997; Body Type: Cabriolet; Total Mileage: 92000;

Taking a bump in my car results in the driver's side rear wheel bouncing quite a bit more than any of the other three corners. Additionally, cornering to the right bounces quite a bit when I get on it at the apex. This doesn't happen when making a left turn in similar fashion. I've taken the car to two shops in the area. They both indicate that none of the suspension parts are broken but.... One says I need new shocks for the rear of the car. After pushing down on the rear of the car and seeing only one rebound the other says there's an adjustment that can be made without the need for the new shocks. I've read almost all of your tech notes and learned that there isn't much, if any, adjustments that can be made to the stock suspension. Please give me some guidance on this. I am trying to get the car ready for the Parade in Charlotte this year and want to be sure to spend my rather small budget in the right places.Thanks much and hope to see everyone in Charlotte.
