1997 993 C4S sluggish until warmed up

Electrical and Electronic

Vehicle Information: Model: 993 C4S; Year: 1997; Body Type: Coupe; Total Mileage: 58888;

FYI: Just a couple hours after receiving your response, I noticed the Alternator Warning Light was on so I took the car directly to my dealer/service. Sure enough the alternator and pulley needed replacing and now the car runs much better. Thanks again. ------------------------------------------Original question: My C4S runs sluggish until warmed up (about a mile or two) no matter what the outside temperature is. If it hasn't been run for two hours or more, even on 70 degree days, it is sluggish and unresponsive for the first 5 minutes of driving. After that it's fine, in fact, the longer it's driven the better it drives. And the problem isn't any worse when it's 30 degrees out.Is this normal? Any thoughts?Thanks
