1997 993 C4S steering problem

Suspension and Steering

Vehicle Information: Model: 993 C4S; Year: 1997; Body Type: Coupe; Total Mileage: 59000;

Hi Joel,Last time I was on the track I noticed what I could best described as a slow steering response going into a fast downhill right turn (last right before the straight at VIR). The car was not understeering it just felt like a delayed reaction to the steering input. I experienced the problem with both 245/35 & 305/30 Hoosiers and 235/40 & 295/30 MPSCs. Friends have suggested that the problem might be worn control arm bushings. What is the best way to check the bushings? I have read that there is no direct replacement bushings for the 993 other than a complete control arm. Are there any other options?Thanks,Brian
