1997 993 Cabriolet Top

Body

Vehicle Information: Model: 993; Year: 1997; Body Type: Convertible; Total Mileage: 18000;

I enjoy driving my cab with the top down. Conversely, I do not relish the process of lowering it (ie., covering the plastic window with a cotton towel, ensuring that the material is pulled tight to prevent creases and installing the boot). Yea, I know that I'm a bit fanatical and would have less angst with a coupe. Nonetheless, I believe that Porsche recommends raising the top daily to prevent permanent wrinkling. On the other hand, Boxters and 996s with their hard tops must keep the soft top lowered for extended periods of time. Knowing that my 993 is garaged, what is your opinion and/or experience with a duration of time that I can have my top lowered with out causing lasting rumples?
