1997 993 CEL P0441 Fuel Tank Ventilation System

Fuel System

Vehicle Information: Model: 993; Year: 1997; Body Type: Coupe; Total Mileage: 46,300;

Several months back and maybe less than 2000 miles ago, I started getting a check engine light that when read, indicated a code of P0441. I have looked this code up in the Mitchell computer data base and with Porsches supplied information this code is listed as a 'Fuel Tank Ventilation Malfunction'. After searching the internet forums for possible causes, the only possibility that I could find was perhaps a bad gas cap. So I bought a new gas cap, reset the light with an OBD2 scanner, and a few drives later the CEL came back on. This always happens when the car is fully warmed up and at idle. What else could cause this P0441 code? How do I solve this problem?Thank you
