1997 993 OBD II & intermittent ABS problem

Electrical and Electronic

Vehicle Information: Model: 993; Year: 1997; Body Type: Targa; Total Mileage: 48900;

I just passed Rhode Island inspection on the third try by using the dyno; the computer failed to respond twice on the previous attempts--apparently the OBD II remains in "closed loop" only, whether the car is warm or cold-coincidentally, I am getting intermittent master failure light with ABS and various other lights in the same cluster which flash on very briefly and then extinguish with no performance degradation noted except perhaps a barely detectable hesitaton in acceleration, but that may just be me overreading things.Maybe a short somwhere??? I did change the battery two weeks ago in the hope that would reset the computer to allow me to pass inspection--the engine passes emissions testing flawlessly on the dyno--I would appreciate any troubleshooting guidance.I apologize for the complicated question--thank you, as always, for your efforts for the Club--we are very fortunate Porsche drivers to have your expertise available to us.
