1997 993 Sticky Shifting

Transmission and Clutch

Vehicle Information: Year: 1997; Body Type: Coupe; Total Mileage: 26500;

I just sold a 1996 993 cabriolet and bought a 1997 C2S. I have noticed that, unlike the 96 cab, when shifting from 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd, this car's shifting feels a little notchy between gears. Only when I hesitate for a second or less between gears does it feel as smooth as my last car. There is no problem when down shifting and all other up shifts are silky smooth. The seller told me he thinks the car has a short shift kit in it and that he felt the same thing when he first got the car a year and 3,000 mile ago. He was told by Porsche service that it was normal. Should I accept this condition to be normal? Is there an adjustment to the linkage that could be made? Could the short shift kit be the problem? Also the car came with the following options; LSD, ABD and a Sport Chassis. Can you tell me exactly what these options are?Thanks for your answers.
