1997 993 use and installation of active cooling system

Body

Vehicle Information: Year: 1997; Body Type: Coupe; Total Mileage: 28,000;

Since a rock broke one of my parking light lenses, I thought it would be a good excuse to install the tequipment "active cooling system". This part replaces the stock front light unit with an air duct/integrated sidelight unit on the front apron. 1) My first question is, the tequipment book describes the unit as supplying air for the oil cooler and air conditioning unit, but I have also heard that the unit can be used to supply air to the front brakes. Are both options possible and which is preferable on a street car occassionaly used for driver ed.2) My second question concerns the installation of the unit. I will be having it painted, but what is the best procedure to follow to remove the old units and replace them with the new ones.Thanks for your time.
