1998 993 valve tap REVISED

Engine

Vehicle Information: Model: 993; Year: 1998; Body Type: Cabriolet; Total Mileage: 20000;

I have a 1998 993 with very low mileage (less than 20,000). I generally store the car in the winter on tire cradles and with a trickle charger and a full tank of gas. In previous years i would start the car every 2 weeks or so primarily to move it to avoid flat spots. With the tire cradles i stopped doing that this year.After about 2 months in storage, I decided to take the car out on an unusually nice Saturday afternoon in winter in NJ. I had not started the car for 2 months or so. It started right up but i had a fairly loud tapping sound for a while. Once the car warmed up, and I drove it, it was fine.My question is: 1) Is this normal? 2) Should I go back to running the car every 2 weeks to avoid this, since it had not happened previously? 3) If not normal, what is your suggestion? My car has Mobil1 15W-50 oil in it and I did verify that all levels were fine. Thanks!
