1999 911/996 white smoke from exhaust pipes

Vehicle Information: Model: 911/996; Year: 1999; Body Type: Coupe; Total Mileage: 30,288;

I have white smoke billowing from both exhaust pipes. My mechanic/dealer believes it to be the oil/coolant separator. A compression check and a cylinder leak test yielded "normal" readings. Does my mechanic's diagnosis make sense? Especially for a '99 911 that has nver seen sand, snow, the track, and is garaged from November throug mid-April ? Could anything else be wrong with the car ?Thanks in advance
