Suspension and Steering

Vehicle Information: Model: 911; Year: 1999; Body Type: Coupe; Total Mileage: 47,000;

I recently participated in my first auto cross, a great time and want to do better next time!!I used new tires, Kuhmo ecsta, stock sizes, 17", set to 36psi front and rear per owners manual, and traction control off. During the day, the front pushed consistently, to a high degreee, breaking traction and "howling" in the turns.I was pushing the car hard through the turns, but did my braking before turning in, even upon exiting the apex it was pushing.The front tires were "rolling" well beyond the side wall marker (I checked it with chalk). Should I add more air to the tires? The rears were within the sidewall markers and I didn't have as much trouble with the rear end.Is this the nature of the car, the tires, the stock suspension, tire pressure or what?Any set up advice?Thanks!
