Wheels and Tires

My new 1999 996 C2 is getting a little winter work and now I'm focusing on the rims and tires. I have the stock 17" Turbo Twists with 205/50's on the front and 255/40's on the rear. My goal is to make the car look more muscular and I immediately jumped to the thought of 18 inch rims. However, after researching the subject on our club's database, I'm convinced that I should just leave my immaculate 17's on the car for ride comfort and weight reasons and opt for some bigger rubber to fill out the wheel well somehow. The tires on the car now are brand new Yokohamas put on by the seller and I'd like to preserve this investment as much as possible. What size tires would you recommend to achieve the best 'muscle' look? Can the 255/40's on the back be moved to the front rims and then some really nice fat ones for the back?Do you have an issue with having my stock 17" Turbo Twists refinished in chrome? Recommend a vendor?Region: Upper CanadaTotal Mileage: 65K KMsCar Use: Street use only
