1999 996 Rear seat tether install for child seat, UPDATED

Interior

Vehicle Information: Model: 996; Year: 1999; Body Type: Coupe; Total Mileage: 47000;

To add to what appears to be the never-ending child seat challenge, I called several Porsche dealerships and they quoted me prices of $650-900 for a Porsche junior child seat. This is twice as much as a high-end Britax! If you're looking for an infant seat, the Graco infant car seat with the stay-in base fits great in the back seat (note: the base fits, but the seat by itself doesn't). My son recently outgrew his infant seat and I've been looking for a convertible seat. I'm grateful to the member who tested multiple car seats to find the Cosco Eddie Bauer for the 993. I haven't tried it yet, but I'm going out to get one this weekend. I'm hoping that it fits my 996 rear seat. Here's my question, I'm told the rear tether adds a tremendous amount of sturdiness to the child seat when used with the Latch. The '99 996 coupe does not have a rear tether as far as I'm aware. Assuming the Cosco Eddie Bauer fits, are you aware of an after-market kit for a rear tether that I can install in my 996? Is that something a dealership would do?
