1999 996 Special Coating for Exhaust System

Engine

Vehicle Information: Year: 1999; Body Type: Cabriolet; Total Mileage: 73,000;

I would like to know if special coatings like "Jet-Hot" on a 996 stock 3.4L exhaust systems (headers, piping and mufflers) would affect the sensors within the system? As I understand, the coatings reduce heat and increase the life of the exhaust system dramatically due to the ability of the coatings to channel the hot exhaust gasses out of the system! Jet-Hot is suggesting all piping be coated inside and out, except for the muffler & cat interiors themselves, to extend the life of the exhaust system and engine/components. The consensus within our club is the cats would not heat up in a timely manner and sensors would send a problem signal to the computer, lighting up the dash! What are your thoughts?
