1999 996 Two Part wheel problem

Wheels and Tires

Vehicle Information: Year: 1999; Body Type: Coupe; Total Mileage: 33,000;

After several sessions at last weekends Drivers Ed event we found that the bolts that hold the rim to the wheel on our 2 part Porsche wheel were backing out. ( LR on a Clockwise track - Le Circiut Mt Tremblant, the other wheels were fine ) On inspection all of the bolts needed re-torqueing ( plus locktite ) plus one broke when attemping to remove it and one was found to be partially stripped (Cross Threaded ). The local Dealer surmised that the rim had been replaced at some point in time and it had not been properly reassembled. I'm not sure, since I'm not the first owner. The question is have you seen this before? Are 2 part wheels suitable for Drivers Ed ( Pilot Sports - not cups )? Is the wheel repairable or replace it or should I get another set of one piece mags?
