2000 Boxster Common Transmission Problem? HELP!!!

Vehicle Information: Model (Boxster, Boxster S,Cayman, Cayman S): Boxster; Year: 2000; Engine (type, size, modifications): I don't know; Total Mileage: 130,000; Transmission: Tiptronic;

I recently replaced my transmission with a used transmission. No warranty. The round metal piece that keeps the transmission oil in place became warped. Had to replace the whole transmission. It's been 7 months and it has happened again. What could be causing this? Could the flywall that the torque converter is mounted to be warped? Obviously I am mechanically clueless. I average putting 1000 miles a month on the car. Time to sell it as is? Greatly appreciate your input.
