2001 996 anti lock light

Vehicle Information: Year: 2001; Body Type: Cabriolet; Total Mileage: 20,000;

This is a follow-up to the question on the ABS warning light. I recently was backing my car out to attend a weekend Porsche Club event, when I noticed both the ABS and PSM warning lights on. On the advice of my local Porsche dealer, I left the car in the garage for the weekend and took it in Monday morning. It turned out to be a faulty ABS sensor on the front right wheel, which apparently is also part of the PSM system.Knowing this, I could have driven the car, I just wouldn't have had ABS (like all cars for the first 75 years after they were invented) or PSM (which you can turn off, anyway).The service rep said that this was the most common problem they run into with the ABS light, but of course it could have been something else and more serious.
