Hi Joel, just in case you berate me, I searched all the model archives in Tech Q&A and could not find any questions about plenums.I've been reading some web forums lately in which some users have been lauding an upgraded plenum for it's improvement over OEM in terms of horsepower and torque. Indeed, the benefit for the 3.4 on dynos seems noteworthy. Here's the link if you have an interest:http://forums.rennlist.com/rennforums/showthread.php?t=347222Anyway, as you can see, there's a not of discussion about the gains, but not a lot of discussion about how it actually works. I know that the OEM X51 kit uses a modified plenum so it makes sense that it would work. However, at just under 1,000 USD, it's not inexpensive.Being a relative engine novie, could you briefly fill me in on what a plenum does (other than just channel air) and if the original design could or should be modded at all (as in, is it really that complicated for what seems like a T-tube)?Keep up the great work, as always, and thanks!Edward
