2001 Boxster S Axle fluid leak

Other

Vehicle Information: Model (Boxster, Boxster S,Cayman, Cayman S): Boxster S; Year: 2001; Engine (type, size, modifications): 3.2 liter stock; Total Mileage: 75,000; Transmission: Manual;

Recently I have started having fluid leaking from the center hole of the drivers side rear axle while running at DE events. Is it correct to assume this is coming from the CV joint and if so, is this an indicating a problem in the joint? There are no other indications of a CV joint issue such as clicking or a split boot. My '01 Boxser S has 75K miles and has been used 4-5 weekends a year at DEs.
