2002 996 C2 Tire Pressures

Wheels and Tires

Vehicle Information: Year: 2002; Body Type: Cabriolet; Total Mileage: 27000;

I have run my Pirelli P Zero Rossos (225/40 ZR 18 fronts,285/30 rear) for 15K miles using factory recommended pressure of 36/44. The rears need replacing, and the tire store noted the wear was much greater in the center of the tire, which they attributed to over inflation. They recommended 29/34, which sounds like too much of a difference. I read some of the other answers on the website and it sounds as if you recommend running 2-4 PSi lower (so, 34/42 or 32/40), but I don't know if that is for track/street. Since I just use this car as my daily driver (although in spirited fashion at times), what do you recommend?
