2002 996 C4 RMS Again

Vehicle Information: Model: 996 C4; Year: 2002; Body Type: Cabriolet; Total Mileage: 20K;

Hi Joel,Long time reader, first time questioner.The first engine in this car lasted about 6200 miles (a year and a half) before the RMS gave up the ghost at a gas station a long way from home. The local dealer put in a "new" engine under warranty, and it was back on the road. Now three years and less than 14K miles later, it's leaking again. The local Porsche dealer confirmed the diagnosis of a RMS.It has the six speed, and I'm aware that they are more prone to failure than Tiptronics, but I was wondering if there are any alignment issues with the tranny that need to be addressed? Is there a spec on how far off center the crankshaft to case can be before something more than a new seal is required?Thanks Joel.
