2002 Boxster S Power Steering Fluid melting the return line

Vehicle Information: Model (Boxster, Boxster S,Cayman, Cayman S): Boxster S; Year: 2002; Engine (type, size, modifications): Boxster S, no modifications; Total Mileage: 44,000; Transmission: Manual;

I use my Boxster S as a normal daily driver and for Drivers Ed events. I have 21 track days under my belt at this point. I have heard other Boxster owners complain about the return line to the power stearing actually melting under heavy track use. I understand that you can change the pulley to a larger diameter to reduce the RPM's. I heard that this may cause the steering to be "stiffer" for daily use. Have you heard of any other modifications to avoid the overheating issue? Have you heard of people doing this modification? I do not have the problem yet, but just want to avoid the issue as I do put my car through the motions at the track.
