2003 911 Rear Main Seal Leak

Vehicle Information: Model: 911; Year: 2003; Body Type: Cabriolet; Total Mileage: 22000;

After hearingf about the RMS problems on the early 996 cars, I started looking at the later versions.Recently, I found a very nice 2003 996 Cab that I want to buy. I took the car in for a PPI and the mechanic found what they call a "mild RMS" leak. The bottom of the engine is damp, but there is no oil dripping off. The mechanic did not seem to be overly concerned.Is it possible that this is a result from lack of use, or is this part of the 996 RMS problem that results in either a new RMS or new engine?I don't want to make a mountain out of a molehill, but I also don't want to potentially spend a lot of correcting what is a design flaw.What do you think?
