2003 996 911 C4 Tightness and noise during clutch pedal use

Transmission and Clutch

Vehicle Information: Model: 911 Carrera C4; Year: 2003; Body Type: Cabriolet; Total Mileage: 85000;

There is a slight wheezing noise when the clutch pedal is fully pressed in. During casual driving one evening this wheezing grew annoyingly louder as the evening passed (mostly city driving). First time this has happened. The next morning the loud wheezing noise abated and was barely detectable. Since I bought this car (2nd owner) the cutch pedal has felt very tight when pressed to the floor and subsequently on release. Compared to a new 911 that I test drove the other day this was a noticeable difference. Any ideas on what this could be and is this something that needs to be fix immediately?Thanks, David
