2003 996 Is Amsoil approved by Porsche?

Engine

Vehicle Information: Model: Carrera 4S; Year: 2003; Body Type: Coupe; Total Mileage: 27000;

I'm going to change my oil in my car because I had an overheating problem and I'm very concerned about the low oil pressure when the engine got hot. See this link to the story behind this; http://www.pca.org/tech/tech_qa_question.asp?id={0A530E52-1929-474C-A9A3-0FA2B33F8E8A} .I don't think Mobil 1 is cut up to what it's suppose to be because of the heating issue and that the M1 can not handle high engine temperatures like it's advertised too. I have a friend who is a dealer for Amsoil and he says Amsoil was approved for Porsche use for the 5W40 European Motor oil in the year 2003. Here is the link also for the oil in hand; http://www.amsoil.com/storefront/afl.aspx .Amsoil claims to handle the heat and I believe it can and would like to change to that brand but, only if it's approved by Porsche. Can you help me out and give me some kind of answer either way.TIA!
