Thank you for all of the past responses. As a new Porsche owner (3 months) I have found you Tech responses one of the best resources on the web for answering all of my questions and alerting me to questions that I would not have thought of.I am using my 996 for frequent DE events. I plan on attending approximately one a month for the rest of the year and then graduating to a full time track car. I also have a friend with 20 years driving experience driving my car at the same events. So the car is going to see a lot of aggressive track time in the next 9 months. Living in S. Florida (warm) and frequenting the track it appears, based on past messages, that I should move to 15-50 oil. Would you agree? Also, I am using Pilot Sport tires and might go to Pilot Sport Cups but will not go to sticky tires in this car. Therefore, based on past messages, it appears that I am OK not upgrading to the 996 Oil Kit with the extra oil pump. I would be certain of this decision if I was the only person driving (still in green group). However, my friend is a lot more aggressive on the track. Again, do you agree? Thanks again.Chris
