In reply to the query on having to operate the inside door handle twice to exit the car, this occurs when the central locking system is activated from inside the car, either by using the button on the dash console, or if the computer is programmed to autmatically lock all the doors, when the car is put in gear or driven above a certain speed. My car is not programmed this way, but I think it is an option, and this is probably what has been done on the car in question. The first time the handle is lifted, the door unlocks, the second time opens the door. This is covered in the owner's manual. The dealer can probably reprogram the computer that controls the central locking system so that it does not do this.
