Joel: Thanks for the 4% allowance figure for tire diameter modifications to 4WD systems. In the same article you mention that a 996 Turbo will not accept 335/30/18 tires. I thought I should mention that I run 245/40/18 front and 335/30/18 rear tires with GT2 wheels on my 996 C4S. This combination modifies the stock 25.1"/25" diameters to 25.7"/25.95", leaving a .25" delta (1%) in the rear (where it belongs) as opposed to the factory front offset. I should also mention that 245/335 tires require rolled rear fender lips (like the GT2) and extensive front and rear fender liner modifications. But cornering with this size Michelin Pilot Sport PS2s is phenominal!
