2003 996 Rear Bumper Cover

Vehicle Information: Model: 996 ; Year: 2003; Body Type: Coupe; Total Mileage: 3800;

I use this car as a daily driver. I keep a good coat of wax on the car. I just washed and waxed it and noticed that the rear bumper cover had tiny specks of what appeared to be a case of acid rain, mind you just on the rear plastic bumper cover. Way too much salt and who knows what else is spread on the roads at the slightest precipitation/freeze. As you know the rear of 911's are magnets for everything. What can I do to fix and prevent?
