Hello. I have heard some claims that Turbo cars can compensate for the loss of horsepower due to high altitude. However it seems to me that in order to do so, the car must be able to control the wastegate by measuring pressure relative to sea-level standard pressure. If the car is measuring boost pressure relative to the outside air, then it is comparing to a lower pressure standard, and the power should be proportionately lower as well.Any idea how the Porsche Turbo system measures boost pressure? Does it have a 'sea-level' pressure standard onboard?
