2003 996tt rough ride, followup & outcome

Wheels and Tires

Vehicle Information: Year: 2003; Body Type: Coupe; Total Mileage: 8000;

Just a short note to let you know that after a few days and couple hundred miles of riding on an assortment of road surfaces varying from semi smooth to brutal with the taller profile tires I definitely feel the overall ride improved and the switch was worth the hassle and expense. The handling of the car is still very much Porsche and really feels unchanged under normal street driving conditions. There seems to be no increase of roll under load in high speed turns. What use to be a jarring almost bone crushing impact on the rear wheels has been mostly absorbed and now simply feels like a bad section of highway.I experimented with air pressures and came to the conclusion little difference was noted until extreme highs and lows were tried. Near manufacturers suggested pressures were settled for.I don't wish to imply that my turbo now rides like my 740 Beemer but it is certainly a more pleasing highway experience. I would recommend it to anyone who has tired of their sport suspension, especially if they need new tires. Thanks for the help have a great thanksgiving
