2003 C4S wheels recommended for winter use

Wheels and Tires

Vehicle Information: Year: 2003; Body Type: Coupe; Total Mileage: 1400;

About three weeks ago I purchased a new 2003 C4S and joined the PCA. I am new to Porsche and the 911 and would like to purchase a set of wheels and winter tires. My dealer suggested contacting the Tire Rack instead of purchasing Porsche wheels and tires. The Tire Rack has recommended Mille Miglia Cup 3 wheels and Pirelli Winter 240 SnowSport tires. My concern is with the wheel size for the front. My manual says to use a 18x8 wheel on the front; the wheel from The Tire Rack is 18x8.5, with a 225/40VR-18 tire. The rear wheel size from the Tire Rack is 18x10 with a 265/35VR-18 tire and a 23mm spacer/adapter. Will the front wheel fit? Will using a different size wheel void my warranty? Does the rear spacer sound correct? I have had different advice regarding what to do, have looked at some old technical articles on the PCA Web site, but am still unsure whether the recommended setup is correct. If you think this setup will work, should I have the Porsche dealer install the wheels to avoid any warranty issues, or is this something I can do myself? I would appreciate any help or advise you can provide me.
