2004 996 Engine Replacement

I purchased a 2004 996 40th Anniversary Edition from Porsche West Houston in early 2015 with 69K miles on the odometer. Prior to purchasing the car, I had a PPI performed, along with obtaining a Carfax report.

The PPI revealed that the original engine (M96 68402240) had been replaced at some point (now - M96/03SAT66575201). I have been trying to find out when the engine was replaced. I understand the odometer would not have been reset so the replacement occured at some point before 69K miles.

The Carfax revealed that the car had spent most of it's life in St. Petersburg, FL as well as being re-registered in Columbus Ohio on two occasions. I have contacted dealers in both of these locations and have been able to obtain service records but there is no indication of the motor replacment.

I am attempting to sell the car but potential buyers are continuing to ask for records relating to the engine swap.

Any suggestions on how I might be able to find this information?

FYI - the car has been a pleasure to own and I am only selling to move to a newer model 911.
