2004 996 GT3 3.8 conversion

Vehicle Information: Model: GT3; Year: 2004; Body Type: Coupe; Total Mileage: 11900;

Dear Joel,I have been thinking about changing the ring and pnion to the cup ring and pinion. (currently stock)I am told it will dramaticly increase track performance. Other than the obvious lower top speed and higher revs at lower speeds, is there something I should worry about? The other option I want to consider is converting the 3.6 to a 3.8.I am told I would get 450 h.p. and much better track performance. I use this car about 90% of the time just to drive on the track. So my question has more to do with mecnical problems than comfortable streatability. Thanks for your help! By the way my intention would be to have a proffesional shop do the mods! Sincerely, Jim D
