2004 996 Leaking Rear Main Seal (update II)

Engine

Vehicle Information: Model: 996; Year: 2004; Body Type: Coupe; Total Mileage: 31456;

Well the initial call of a LRMS by the dealer (and myself) was not correct. It was the intermediate flange seal that was leaking. (covered under warranty) Since I did not recieve a maintenance record book with this car, I called the dealership in Dallas that sold the car as CPO and spoke with the service manager. (He was extremely helpful) He had the repair history on the car back to 2004. It had a LRMS at 22,914 miles when the car was traded in by the original owner and prepared as a CPO (I was not aware of this LRMS), the next one was 10 monts later at 27,259 (found in my pre-purchase inspection) and now an IFS a year later at 31,456. I purchased a MR manual today and will "fill in the blanks" with the information the Dallas dealer provided me. I have contacted the individual I purchased the car from and he swears he did not receive a MR manual when he purchased the car as a CPO at the Dallas dealership. (He owned the car less than a year, a job change forced him to put the car up for sale)
