2004 GT3 Suspension Modifications

Suspension and Steering

Vehicle Information: Model: 2004 GT3; Year: 2004; Body Type: Coupe; Total Mileage: 11000;

Joel,Given the numerous posts here and elsewhere about the "difficult" stock GT3 suspension set up, I wanted to share some recent mods that have transformed my DE experience. Last year, driving the stock suspension (well, almost stock, it did already have the cup toe links), I drove in fear of the "twitch" rear end. A month ago Dan Jacobs installed Eibach springs (front 550lbs, rear 700lbs), revalved the shocks, lowered her about .75", re-aligned, and put the locks on the toe links. The car is now neutral with sharp turn in and a much more benign rear that telegraphs before snapping. Reminded me of my stock 2002 C2 suspension in terms of ease (certainly not performance). I wanted to share this as I now feel that the car is set up the way she was meant to be. I hope this can be of use to others.
