2005 997 Quiet-running Tires

Wheels and Tires

Vehicle Information: Model : 997 Carrera; Year: 2005; Mileage: 5960;

My Michelin Pilot Sports (265/40 ZR18-Rear & 235/40 ZR18-Front) are extremely noisy. On some asphalt paving, I cannot hear the radio clearly or have a conversation with a passenger. My best description is that the tires 'rumble.' I have been told by the Porsche dealer and other Porsche owners of various Porsche-recommended Z-rated tires that are quieter, but there is no consistency. Going to TireRack doesn't seem to help, as their recommendations don't match what the dealer or other owners have told me. So, my question is: What is the quietest all-season Z-rated tire for my 997. No tracking. No hard driving. No snow. Some rain. Mostly long-distance highway miles.Thanks
