2007 Cayman S auto hunting for gear right about 2000 rpm?

From a standstill when going into normal daily traffic at every shift point from 4th on it seems to be hunting for the next gear at about 2000 rpm.  This does not happen when I put the pedal to the metal only when having a soft start in daily commute.  I took it to the Porsche dealership and they couldn’t find anything wrong?  The tech’s said it would not be transmission since the dash would light up with bells and whistles.  So I’m wondering if it has to do with the electronic speed control for auto shifting?  Once up to speed at about 2500 rpm no issues nor hesitations.  Any thoughts or similar experience?  Thanks, M
