2.0L Valve Clearance Adjustment

Ed,I have a 68 911 that I am doing a valve clearance adjustment on, only to find a hiccup. On my crank pulley, there is no longer a mark for 120 degrees from TDC. Is it a must to be exactly at the cylinder TDC or can clearance be adjusted anytime both valves are closed? To better help me understand the timing of the cylinder I created a diagram (see attached) that depicts where the valves and piston is for each degree of crank rotation. It seems that there is quite a bit of time in which both valves are closed. Thanks for all the help.
