2.4 Litre 911s '74 911

Engine

Vehicle Information: Model: 911; Year: 1974; Body Type: Coupe; Total Mileage: 87,000;

Regarding my 1974 911, I was under the impression that the motor is a 2.7 litre. However, the engine type number is 911/92, which, I am told, is a 2.4 litre (and the engine # matches along with the VIN # inside the original owners' manual). If the engine type # were 911/97, then it would be a 2.7 litre. Did Porsche continue to make the 2.4 litre units into 1974? If it is a 2.4 litre, is it worth more/less than a 2.7, and, is it less prone to overheating than a 2.7?
