356 Electrical

Vehicle Information: Model: 356S; Year: 1963; Body Type: Coupe; Engine (type, size, modifications): 1600S; Total Mileage: 61000;

I live in the desert, and keep a close watch on my temp gauge, and red and green idiot lights. Recently, when applying the brakes on my 356B, engaging a turn signal, lights, or anything else that draws electrical power, I notice a bump in my oil temp needle toward the cool side. It returns to its previous position when the electrical draw is removed. I have a 1 year old Optima 6v, and no generator light (not even a low glow at idle). Suggestions?
