911 1967 clashing in first and reverse

Transmission

Vehicle Information: Model: 911S; Year: 1967; Body Type: Targa; Engine (type, size, modifications): 2.0 with no modifications; Total Mileage: 180,000;

When the car is fisrt run for about 20 minutes, the transmission if fine. All the gears work well and shifting is not a problem. When it seems that the car is warmed up, the first and reverse gears begin to clash. I have had the clutch peddle and the slack in the cable looked at and the mechanic says they are fine. What could the problem be? Not sure when the transmission was last looked at? That includes the clutch? (It does not to be slipping).
