911 1969- 1970 Distributor differences

Engine

Vehicle Information: Model: 911T; Year: 1969; Body Type: Coupe; Engine (type, size, modifications): 2.2L unknown; Total Mileage: whatever I said last time;

Thank you very much for your quick and detailed responses to earlier questions, you've been a great help! Is there a difference in the advance curve of a 007 911S distributor and the stock 911T unit? The book says about 30deg BTDC @ 6K RPM, and about 5ATDC @ 900RPM. If I set my 007 to 30deg at 6K my idle timing is about 8BTDC, a long way from where it should be. Would switching back to the correct 911T distributor help? Is this some of my very rich idle problem?
