911 1969 Soft Window Targa conversion

Vehicle Information: Model: 911; Year: 1969; Body Type: Targa; Engine (type, size, modifications): NA; Total Mileage: NA;

This is more of a comment than a question. I was reading the 911 body section of the tech questions. A guy asked if he could convert his fixed window targa to soft window (I think the car was a 1972, but I'm not sure of that). I have done this on my 1969 911T targa. It is doable if you get all the proper parts, and the targa bar on the car in question is equiped with the window tensioning hardware receiver anchoring points. The parts are hard to find - I got mine on e-bay, and had a new window made. The soft window targa is a lot more fun as a regular driver than a fixed window, but the car isn't as rigid. It also is not a job for someone that doesn't have good mechanical abilities. If you want to forward this message to the previous poster with my e-mail address attached, feel free to do so, and I can share some pictures and things with him.
