911 1974 very difficult to start engine when cold

Vehicle Information: Model: 911; Year: 1974; Body Type: Targa; Total Mileage: maybe 190K ??;

have just bought it.when engine is cold, even with a large new battery, it doesn't seem to fire, regardless of the position of the manual throtle, yet, jump starting with another vehicle, it catches on almost inmediately.once it is warm, it starts beautifully ( after no more than 2 or 3 seconds of crank ) but with the hand throtle lever pulled all the way up.- a.- does the enrichment valve opperate only with the hand lever ?, and at what position of the lever ?.-b.- where is the microswitch that does this, and is it only the hand lever the one who operates it?-c.- where is the enrichment valve, and how can i test it's functioning ?.n.b. on the owner's manual it says that if the driver and or the passenger are sitting, and they are not buckeled-up, it won't start, does this mean it won't crank ?, or will it crank, but not fire ?. on hayne's book, there is no indication of these elements ( seat switch, belt switch or light/buzzer )in the electrical diagram. does this have anything to do with my problems ?looking forward to your advice, and thanking you in advance, i remain truly yourseduardo mariscal-hay
