911 2.7 rebuild and head studs

Engine

Vehicle Information: Model: 914-6 conversion; Year: 1974; Body Type: Targa; Total Mileage: ???;

I recently purchased a 2.7 engine to replace the 2.0 six in my 914 conversion. The engine was from a '76 Targa. The case is a 901.101.102 7R mag case and has no pulled or broken head studs. I know that time certs and raceware studs seem to the standard recomendation. But Why if the engine has never had a problem with pulled or broken studs in the past should I jump on band wagon now? Thanks,Mike D.
