911 Changing Fuel Pressure

Fuel System

Vehicle Information: Model: 911T; Year: 1973; Body Type: Coupe; Engine (type, size, modifications): 2.2; Total Mileage: 96,000;

I've installed a 2.2L motor into my 73 911T and when I tried to start it I got way too much fuel running to the carbs (Zenith). Since this car came with factory fuel injection should the fuel pump be replaced with one that has lower pressure to match the carbs and fuel tank or is there another solution that I should look at?Thanks,Tim Gaughan
