914/6 oil change:

Engine

Vehicle Information: Model (914/4, 914/6): xxxx; Year: xxxx; Engine (type, size, modifications): xxx; Total Mileage: xxx;

My nephew has a 914/6 that is a conversion from a 1970 914/4. He bought the car a while back and recently attempted to change the oil. All went well until he tried to disconnect the fitting in the oil line. It seems to be frozen together and it appears to be made of aluminum. Can you recommend any way to loosen the fitting? He also wonders why, since the oil tank is higher than the engine sump, the oil just doesnt all drain out the crankcase drain. About four quarts drained out of the engine sump but the remaining four quarts are still in the system.
