944 S2 flywheel on a 968 engine

Engine

Vehicle Information: Model(924/944/968): 968 engine into a 83 944; Year: 1993; Body Type: Coupe; Total Mileage: 10,400 on 968 engine;

I am converting to a 968 engine in my 1983 944. The original 968 dual mass flywheel could not be used. I had to move the starter ring gear. To do this we had to put on a 944 S2 flywheel and new Sach clutch. The timing teeth on the S2 flywheel do not match the original 968 flywheel (they are closer together). They also protrude slightly more than the original 968 flywheel. I had to move the pick up sensor away from, so as not to hit the teeth. Will this pattern (higher and more teeth than original) screw up the system?? What can I expect with this set up as far as running qualities are concerned??
